So, this may seem a bit bias as this is my local stores own juice (vapeiteasy.net) but I’ll be a fair cop.
A brief introduction to the YOGG line of juices, they currently have 5 flavours (Devilicous Custard,Clotted Custard (best seller), Mrs Bees custard and today’s feature “Drizzle) mostly desserts with the exception for “Orchard scrump”.if you are unaware what scrump is, its cider from the West Country and is brewed as is this juice line by hand and careful selected for ultimate flavour.
So I have cracked open the bottle and the first thing that you get from a small squeeze is the zest of lemon but the backboard of something else. I put a new build in my Kennedy (24ga Claptons parallel 4wraps) and some new cotton bacon to make sure I get everything I can from this juice.
So onto tasting, first hit on the ole Kennedy felt rather dry as it normally does I could get the lemon really well but due to the cotton still getting wet it took another hit to find the rest of the flavour. Now I’m not really a cake/pastry person, I mean I love a good Cornish like the next person but I’m always quite skeptical of savoury flavours. But take two with the cotton really well wicked and wet it just hits you hard, you first have the icing of the lemon of the drizzle cake, hence the drizzle but it’s almost softer and more indulgent like the lemon you get in a jam pot and then you get the full fluff of the cake perfectly to finish the mouthful.still not losing the curd but just mixing together like a washing machine in your mouth.
I really was not sure what to expect with this juice, not because I had heard anything bad or didn’t trust the brand but I have had lemon meringue pie from another vendor and to be honest all you tasted was the crust, a hint of zest and then it’s gone like a wisp in the wind.
But as the name states it’s a drizzle cake and it really lives up-to it, this is the sort thing you can imagine gorging yourself through on a Sunday with your Nan, if she vapes.
A great juice from a local brand that has taken my town by storm. It’s a full bodied more lemon curd smooth rather than zesty, fluffy experience giving you flash backs of tea party’s and impulse buys in the local garden centre.
The final question?
Will I finish this bottle? It’s a 30ml and I can honestly say I can’t see it lasting the entire week, think it might stay in my pocket for a few days.
That’s me singing off as always these are personal opinions and not a representative of the maker. GO TRY IT YO SELF FOOL!
