NovaVapes are a well-known budget e-liquid retailer amongst those who frequent the Reddit UK and EU e-cigarette communities. Their flavours – of which they stock 10 – are highly regarded, especially once you consider their price point. Today, I will evaluate a few of their newer juices along with one of their most popular. I had let these juices steep for approximately 6 weeks. Furthermore, they are all 20PG/80VG and 3mg nic.
Starting with Orange Nimbus this morning, I thought that this juice would suit the mood. Vaped on my Uwell Crown on a Ni 0.15Ω coil at 75W and 550F, this flavour is described as a “pleasantly smooth breakfast orange with a natural and crisp mango tone”.
During the first few draws, I could definitely taste the orange. It does have a likeness to pure orange juice, as opposed to anything candy-like or even like orange squash. And, after a few more draws, the mango undertone was definitely apparent. Although, I couldn’t help but feel like the flavour was a little lacklustre. Despite it being a good likeness to its description, the flavour wasn’t as vibrant as I would have liked, unfortunately.
Secondly, again on the Crown, I decided to give Grahams Custard a whirl. As one of their best sellers, despite not being a big fan of this particular palate, I couldn’t wait to give it a whirl! And, in all honesty, it’s a great vape. A true likeness to a rich, creamy Golden Graham’s! I found myself reaching for the vape a little more frequently once I’d stuck this in the tank! The flavour is consistent and very moreish. This is definitely a must-try for custard or dessert buffs.
Next on the hit-list was Solace – one of Nova’s recent additions to the range. Solace is described as “a classic New York Cheesecake with a creamy lemon blend”. I wasn’t too keen to give this a go with it not falling under my preferred palate but once I’d started I couldn’t stop. I couldn’t quite understand how the cheesecake base entwined with the not-too-tart lemon taste so well! Ordinarily, particularly at this price point, tastes such as these tend to vape a little bit ‘one after the other’ however this was very consistent.
Lastly, another new entry for the Nova line-up: Comet. Well, well, well. If somebody said to you, “here, try this ‘delicious mix of peanut butter, raspberry and strawberry’”, I’m sure you’d be rather hesitant. There’s no way this can taste good, right?
Surprisingly, it doesn’t vape like a horrendous mash-up of flavours. Instead, early in the exhale, you can appreciate a great peanut butter likeness. This then eases off and makes way for the berry flavours towards the end of the draw. Don’t get me wrong, this is definitely a very acquired taste. However, it’s not bad. Odd, definitely – but not bad. I’d definitely advise you to add Comet to your next order, simply for curiosity’s sake!
As all four of the juices I have reviewed today had steeped for around a month and a half, they were understandably volatile and left a little bit of a throat tickle. To get the best out of these juices after such a long time, I would advise that you regularly left the top off of these bottles to allow the juice to breathe. Not only will this reduce the throat tickle but the flavour will really come to life.
Considering that I’m not much of a fan of custards, creams and dessert-based vapes, Nova have really hit the nail on the head with these juices in two key departments – taste and price. Each of them are a great likeness to what they claim to be. Coming in at just over 16p/ml with the discount code reddit10, you would be a fool not to give them a go!
